This unit covers the knowledge and skills required in following processes and procedures on cleaning of equipment and appliances in a food shop environment.


At the end of this course, Learners will be able to:

  • Prepare for cleaning

  • Display safety signages to prevent accidents

  • Collect used crockery and cutlery

  • Clean different types of work surfaces in food shops according to organisational procedures

  • Dispose waste properly

  • Clean the refuse-holding area

  • Carry out post-cleaning activities
