1a) Workplace Safety and Health Practices Implementation (Level 1) [Course Ref.: EVS-WSH-1006-1.1]

This unit covers the knowledge and skills to fulfil legal responsibilities under Workplace Safety and Health legislations and code of practices.

At the end of this course. Learners will be able to:

  • Follow safe work practices and risk control procedures

  • Participate in workplace safety and health management activities

  • Follow workplace emergency response procedures

1b) Customer Management (Level 1) [Course Ref.: EVS-CFC-1005-1.1]

This unit covers the knowledge and skills required in providing customer service by following guidelines.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Understand customer needs and expectations

  • Demonstrate Effective Communication Skills to Address Customer Needs

  • Implement measures to improve service delivery

1c) Public Hygiene Maintenance – Escalators, Travelators and Lift Surfaces (Level 1) [Course Ref.: EVS-CGO-1005-1.1]

This unit covers the knowledge and skills required in daily cleaning and removing of spillage, soilage and dust from escalators, travelators and lift surfaces.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Prepare for cleaning activities

  • Perform manual cleaning of escalator and travelator surfaces

  • Perform manual cleaning of lift surfaces

  • Reinstate work area

 

1d) Washroom Maintenance (Level 1) [Course Ref.: EVS-CGO-1007-1.1]

This unit covers the basic knowledge and skills required in cleaning and removing soilage from sanitary fixtures, fittings, toilet floors, and replenishing consumables in sanitary area.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Prepare for work activities

  • Replenish consumable items in the washroom

  • Remove dust, debris, soilage and spillage from the washroom

  • Perform cleaning of toilet floors

  • Reinstate work area

This unit covers the knowledge and skills required in removing loose dust and cleaning of spillage and soilage from vertical surfaces, glass surfaces and ceiling surfaces (and parts)

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Prepare for cleaning activities

  • Remove loose dust from vertical surfaces and ceiling surfaces (and parts)

  • Perform cleaning of spillage and soilage from vertical surfaces

  • Perform spot cleaning of soilage from ceiling surfaces (and parts)

This unit covers the basic knowledge and skills required in removing loose dust and debris, spillage and impacted soil and mopping of hard floor surfaces manually.

  • Remove loose dust and debris from hard floor surfaces

  • Perform mopping of hard floor surfaces

2a) Cleaning Chemical Handling and Effectiveness Management (Level 3)

This unit covers the basic knowledge and skills to demonstrate and apply understanding of cleaning chemicals, methods & processes.
